Great things are happening

So its really been a stressful couple months.  I have been so concerened about getting my boys into a school and the right one that could really serve Payton with all he needs and one that would challenge my Jaxton.  For 10 months I have had all three kids home with me full time and not only was it my job to be their mother and all that comes with that I also got to be their school teacher.  I really struggled with this cause I struggle just like payton with retaining info so I constantly was doubting weither I was serving them or not .  That really stressed me out.  I never felt like I could get everything done and the worst part was that I got so cosummed in taking care of the kids and my husband I let go of taking care of myself.  Now I know that this has been a struggle for me my whole life.  I have always felt it was more important to do for others than it was to do for myself.  I can tell you that more than ever I know that really doesn't work.  I have to take time to take care of myself and do some things I would love to do or I just go to a place of overwhelm really quick cause not only am I crazy busy with all that I am trying to do for others my body starts shuting down cause I am not taking care of myself.  So about three weeks ago I had some good friends remind me not to choose overwhelm.  I really understood what they were saying so I decided I was going to really work on it.  I had to make a consious effort all day for a couple days to start shifting from there. As soon as I started shifting my life started shifting.  Both my boys got excepted to Ogden Preportary Academy.  This is the school we really wanted them to get into.  We have a really good friend that works there and really bonded with Payton and I just knew that if he was somewhere were someone got how special he was that teachers and students would start treating him with the respect he so freely gives out.   Not only does Karole Pickett love my Payton she loves my Jaxton.  Her son Jason is Jaxton's dance teacher and is an amazing rolemodel for my kids.  Jason is a 17 yr old boy that is going to collage full time and will have his associates degree two months before his highschool diploma.  Talk about a great kid.   The  week the boys started school I felt myself start slipping to overwhelm again cause I was never home between driving to ogden everyday twice a day and football for Payton and Dance for the other kids.  I quickly reminded myself that doesn't work and shifted that night I recieved a message from Jason saying he was willing to drive my boys home a couple times a week.  What a relief.

These two were so happy they got to be together at school they were both really sad when we didn't think it was going to happen.  They both told me at different times that they were sad cause they weren't going to be there to protect eachother.  I have such sweet boys

This school is already proving to be amazing.  Little things like I didn't ever have to go in and fight for my child to get support it started immediatly. Little things like making sure his homework is correct for where he is at.  And for the first time teachers that don't see Payton as a hassel.  I got a phone call on Monday from Karole who went over to his school to make sure Payton was getting taken care of.  She told me that Payton's Resource teacher told her that he is the most pleastent child to work with.  He never says no, he is always happy and so polite.  I literally cried all these people seeing Payton the way we have always seen him.  Then today I am driving the boys to school and I am listening to them talk and they are discussing how cool it is that during reecess they can go the libary and read.  Holy cow what has happened to my boys.  I am so excited.  They are excited to learn again and nothing makes me happier.  Payton and Jaxton get home and are more than happy to do their homework.  When they started school I went in and talked to both their teachers and I told them that I had been homeschooling them and I am not sure how much they got from me and was really hoping they werent worse off because I pulled them from public school.  I got messages from both teachers saying Jaxton is testing way above grade level and Payton isn't as far behind as they were expecting.  Payton resource teacher said that he is not that far behind in other subjects if we can get him to catch up with reading she thinks he will be solid.  She said that most of his struggles come from that cause when you can't read you can't do any subject.  You can't even write what you are thinking or the awnsers that you may know.  Needless to say I am so happy.  This is just some of what has shifted for us. I can't wait to share our other good news soon.

On top of all the great with school they are both doing so good with their extra activites.  I feel so bleesed to have these boys in our life.  They remind me all the time of all the great things this life has to offer!

Our First big family Vacation (the begining)

On our way to California

Yes we finally did a trip other than camping! We headed to California on July 29th. On the way down it was just Alex and I and then Jaxt and Lola. Payton really wanted to ride with meme and papa. We also picked up Jason ( Jaxt dance teacher) in Vegas. Having one less kid in the car made it so we could drive Alex BMW. Boy was it nice on gas but I have to say it wasn't the most comfortable. We were heading to California for a dance convention that we had enrolled Jaxton and Jason into and we decided we would make a trip out of it. We had missed out a couple times while my family has taken their kids to Disneyland and we felt that it was our kids turn to experience it. We got into California on Monday and were pretty excited to take Jason to see some of the things he wanted to do. He had never been there so we really wanted him to see as many things as possible. We checked into the Hyatt Regency in Garden Grove , that is were the convention was being held and since Jaxt is so little we really wanted to be close so is he needed us it wouldn't be hard to get there.  I am so happy with that decision.   It was a beautiful hotel and it was great being so close to the convention.   After we checked in we headed towards the beach.   We decided we were going to eat dinner at Joe Crab Shack in Newport Beach.  It has always been one of my favorite places to eat cause the view is beautiful.

After eating we headed to Laguna Beach to walk around.  It was really fun to watch Lola see the water and touch the sand for the first time.  She loved it and wanted to get wet so bad.    The next morning we headed out to go to Venice Beach the one request Jason had was to go to Muscle Beach.  As ghetto as Venice can feel sometimes we had so much fun.  We watched a taping of a reality show for Australia called "I will survive"  basically these four Australian men were going all over the USA doing different things.  So in Venice it was could they survive with a dance crew.  It was so fun considering that is why we made the trip to California.

After we watched they asked if some would interview on how they thought the guys did with dancing.  Poor Jaxton gets so camera shy he answered the first questions and then it was like he didn't even speak lol  Jason also got interviewed he did really good.  It was crazy cause one of the questions these Australia guys asked Jason was "do you think the guys did good with the black mans dancing"  We were so shocked lol

  Jason - Jaxton - Alex

After that we headed off the sand to the strip of stores right there in Venice.  We immediately saw these guys performing.  They were insane and extremely funny.

These guys were so strong and boy could they Jump

Jason got picked to come out and help and they called him Gay and then they said "no no he is not gay his boyfriend is"  and they came and grabbed Alex hand.  It was so funny.  We couldn't stop laughing

Then this guy totally reached in Jason pocket and took his phone

After watching the performers we walked down to Muscle beach.  I remember the day when I came there cause it meant allot to me as well .  Jason decided he didn't want to work out he just wanted his picture taken in front of it.

After Venice we headed down to Huntington beach to meet up with parents and Payton. We were all so hungry that we ate first.  After we ate dinner we walked the street fair and then we had to take the kids to the water.  Payton was so excited to look for crabs that he wouldn't even eat dinner.   I apologize for lots of pictures next but i really couldn't choose between them :)

Getting some papa loves

Payton found a crab :) he was so happy

Alex made Jason hold the crab and he did not like it hahaha

Huntington was so beautiful.  I can't believe my mom spent her teenage yrs living there.
